EmoAtlas is a mood journal a client keeps between sessions: mood, energy, feelings, body sensations and tags like "work" or "poor sleep," a few seconds per entry. Before the appointment they open "Report for your therapist" and bring you one page instead of a recap from memory.

In short: the report for the last 4 weeks is free and needs no account. It shows average mood and energy, week-by-week change, how often each feeling was noted, links between tags and mood, and body sensations. Note text is not included. The app does not diagnose or score anything.

What the report looks like

Below is a sample. The data is made up: these are not a real person's entries. The numbers are calculated with the same formulas the app uses, so a real report looks the same.

What's in the report and how it's calculated

  • Average mood and energy: on a 1–5 scale, across all entries in the period.
  • Week by week: four rows with average mood, average energy and the number of entries for each week. You see both the trend and how regularly the person kept the journal.
  • Feelings: how many times each of seven was noted: joy, calm, gratitude, anxiety, sadness, anger, fatigue.
  • What moves your mood: the difference in average mood between entries with a tag and entries without it. "−1.4" next to "poor sleep" in the sample means mood runs 1.4 points lower in entries with that tag. A tag appears only if there are at least three entries with it and three without.
  • Body sensations: where in the body the person most often noted tension, heaviness, trembling, warmth or pain.

This is self-report, not measurement: the numbers show what the person logged and work as a starting point for conversation. A link between a tag and mood is a co-occurrence in the entries, not a proven cause.

How a client makes the report

  1. Open EmoAtlas on the web or in the app and log entries for at least a week, ideally four.
  2. Go to the More tab → Export → "Report for your therapist."
  3. Tap "Print / save as PDF" and bring the page to the session or send the file.

The report is built on the client's device from their own entries. We don't see it and don't send it to anyone: the person decides what to share.

What EmoAtlas doesn't do

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to sign up or install anything as a professional?

No. The client makes the report on their own device and brings you a page or a PDF. EmoAtlas has no clinician dashboard and gives no one access to a client's data.

What does it cost the client?

The journal and the 4-week report are free. The Plus subscription is for 3-, 6- and 12-month reports and for charts across the full history.

Can I get the data as a spreadsheet?

Yes. The client can export all entries as CSV: More → Export. It's free and always available.

Will I see the client's notes?

Only if they show them to you. Note text is not part of the report, and notes are encrypted on the server.

How do I get in touch?

Through the form on the support page. If the report is missing something you need for your work, tell us what.
